Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Back in 2017, when we (Tapan Dixit, Tanay Dixit and I) started Wobot.ai, we knew one essential data point – 100s of millions of people in different industries around the globe perform billions of cumulative manual tasks each day. At the same time, we realized that there were tons of useful operational data hidden behind the camera lens that if unlocked could help achieve operational excellence across these billions of manual tasks.
So, we set sail on our mission to add intelligence to existing cameras and launched a video analytics platform that would help organizations enhance their operations and compliance efforts.
Initially, we started by building templates for the food service and production sector but soon enough added more use cases to cater to the demand from the retail, hospitality, and manufacturing segments too.
Today, Wobot.ai is a simple and powerful way to automate viewing with an objective to enhance best practices and create role models within organizations. We have supercharged several brands and their cameras with AI and will steadfastly continue this mission.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Last year when the pandemic struck, it had a significant impact on the industries we catered to. For our partners, ensuring safety and hygiene, compliance assurance, operational excellence, and elevating customer experience became an even greater priority. As a result, we decided to head back to the drawing board and solve all the problems we were aware of and build what we had set to do – a product-led B2B SaaS company.
With the launch of the DIY, SaaS-based product, businesses can now add intelligence to cameras within hours, not days or months.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Over the last couple of years, we have managed to build a strong presence in India, Middle East and Southeast Asia and, we recently announced our entry into the USA market. We will look to strengthen our position as a one-stop video analytics platform over the next few quarters in this region and enter the European market within the same period.
Further, we have recently entered the Drive thru industry, where we are helping improve customer experience by better managing queues, flows and order times through existing cameras. We are bullish on this segment and believe that we would be able to add a lot of value through our platform over the coming quarters.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: We are a company that was built by our customers and continuous to be shaped by them as well. Also, as an organization we believe in disrupting ourselves before someone else might. The latest version of our product is built on these pillars and the many more releases to come will always imbibe such a thought process.
