Xait is the company behind XaitPorter. Xait’s headoffice is in Sandnes, Norway and they have offices in Austin and Houston in the US. The core of its clients are in the oil & gas industry, but they have also have many clients in other industries such as Clinical Research, construction, facilities management, engineering, IT and more. Below is our recent interview with Kris Sæther, Chief Commercial Officer at Xait:
Q: Can you give us insights into your features?
A: XaitPorter is a document co-authoring and document automation solution that is typically used for business critical documents with multiple contributors. We were named “Cool Vendor” by Gartner a few years ago, due to our ability to enable large teams producing documents more efficiently.
XaitPorter is built on a database so that it makes it easier to reuse content, but also easier to build, manage and leverage content across your enterprise. These documents could be proposals that are fully automated, or large tenders with thousands of pages with multiple contributors and heavy graphics. The built in workflow enables our clients to manage this process better.
Recommended: Q: What kinds of services do you offer to your clients?
A: XaitPorter is very easy to user, and does not require any heavy implementation. Only a few days of training. However, we generally help our clients to manage and leverage their content smarter than they would with i.e. file based solutions. We also provide assistance with how to use our API, so that our clients can integrate with i.e. CRM, DAM, DMS, BI, MDM or other solutions.
Q: What does the future hold? Where is the company headed?
A: Xait has a steady growth in ARR, which is really crucial to a SaaS company. Our ambition is to double our revenue in the next 3-4 years. We plan to further grow with our current clients and core industry O&G, but also expand into other areas. Our aim is to be the chosen solution for complex documents with multiple contributors globally.
Growth in the US is a very important part of our strategy, and we have dedicated team in the US will be an integral part to our success. Short term we are looking to increase our sales team in the US, and we are participating on OTC in Houston and APMP in San Diego in May.

XaitPorter is also offered as an aPaaS solution, and this is a very interesting arena for Xait. Basically, we have partners that use XaitPorter as part of their offering for the reporting / document abilities. For our partners it is crucial that we offer enterprise ready workflow, that we are a compound content management solution, and that XaitPorter enables automation. In addition, XaitPorter also automatically takes care of formatting, layout and numbering. We believe our aPaaS strategy is a vital part to our growth and a focus area for us.
Xait also recently hired a new CEO and CFO, and they bring a wealth of expertise with them that we truly believe will benefit Xait.
Generally, we are very positive to the future and so far in 2018 we are ahead of budget.
