The company recently announced a $1.4 Million Seed funding. Below is our interview with Jonathan Friedman, CEO and Co-Founder at Reactful:


Q: Jonathan, tell us something more about Reactful? What is your startup story?

A: Reactful was founded in 2013 with a specific mission in mind: to help digital marketers in their journey of translating data into action. Marketers are spending a lot of money getting people to their site, but falling short on converting them once they are there. Our version 1 of Reactful started as a simpler software that helped form the basis of where we wanted our development to go. We have now grown into our version 2 with the same vision intact, only with a more powerful, mature software that has become an essential item in a digital marketer’s toolbox. After a lot of hard work and time spent, we completed a successful beta, and are thrilled to have our version 2 now available for anyone to test out.

Q: Could you please give us more insights into your product? How does it work?

A: Reactful is a real-time website optimization platform that triggers reactions to visitor intent to turn more ‘maybe laters’ into engaged prospects and customers. We help convert visitors that are “on the fence” by understanding their “digital body language” such as “confusion”, “hesitation”, “interest”, “form abandonment” and more, and reacting accordingly in real time. Reactions can be as subtle as shaking a button gently or attention grabbing such as folding an element in 3D.
Reactful continuously analyzes your traffic and recommends best practice reactions to be launched with one click.
It works by inserting a snippet of code to your site, and that’s it. No i.t needed. A version of your website will be pulled into our Reactful Studio where you can easily start creating your Reactions.

Q: What are the biggest benefits for the users?

Q: What’s the best thing about Reactful that people might not know about?

A: The deeper you go into Reactful, the more you find its capabilities and the more hooked you get.

I would say the best thing about Reactful is our Revelations. This is where the system scans your site and suggests reactions based on problem areas. It tells you what the problem is (x% of visitors are abandoning your form mid-way), and provides you with a suggested reaction as a solution (react with a tool-tip showing an encouraging message). You can then implement this with one click.

We are always improving and implementing new reactions, triggers and capabilities, so what you see now is what you’ll get, but also loads more. We issue a bi-monthly email featuring all the new updates to the software.
