Q: What’s the story behind Teguar Corporation?
A: In 2010 I founded Teguar with the goal of providing cutting edge computer hardware for the industrial and medical computer markets. Before starting Teguar, I lead US operations for a German computer manufacturer and I saw the need for a wider range of waterproof and industrial computers. I started Teguar out of my apartment in Uptown, Charlotte, NC, then we moved to our first office in 2011. We’ve grown quickly and organically since 2010 and today our computers are used around the world in critical applications like surgery, quality control in food manufacturing plants, and on automotive production lines.
Q: What products does Teguar offer?
A: Teguar provides computers for almost any setting outside of an office. Our fully waterproof computers are used in food and beverage processing, where equipment is sprayed down with high temperature water jets. Our industrial panel PCs are installed in manufacturing environments where dust, vibration from machines or extreme heat and cold would damage other computers. We also provide medically certified computers and tablets that are used in operating rooms, at the patient bedside and on nursing carts. The most recent addition to our product line is rugged tablets, which are used in manufacturing, shipping and logistics, inventory management, remote machine monitoring and more.
Finally, Teguar provides customized solutions to suit almost any application. We call this OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) or ODM (Original Design Manufacturing). For OEM/ODM projects, we work closely with the client and collaborate across our sales, product management and tech departments to find and deploy the best solutions.

Q: How has Teguar grown so fast?
A: Teguar has been a debt-free operation from the start, this has allowed us to focus on our clients and our products. We have built trust with clients by providing quality products and excellent support, which has helped us develop a strong brand reputation in the industrial and medical computer industries.
Since the beginning, we’ve also had strategic partnerships with manufacturers and developers in Taiwan and headquarters in the US. This has allowed us to stay close to the heart of the computer hardware industry in Taiwan and provide excellent service and support to our US based clients. We’ve steadily grown in markets outside of the US with a new office in Taiwan to better serve Asian markets and an office in Switzerland to serve European markets.
Q: How does Teguar keep its customers satisfied?
A: Having offices around the world has helped us grow and maintain relationships with global business leaders. We pride ourselves in our knowledge of and love for technology. The engineers in our service department are not the only ones who can talk to customers about complicated technical issues. Our sales representatives have a deep knowledge of our products and the industry. They get to know the client and their application and take pride in finding the best solution for the client. We work with our customers through ordering, installation, and follow up to build a relationship and be someone our customers can depend on.

A: In 2021, we will be moving into a new headquarters in Charlotte, NC, which is currently under development. Our new headquarters will house our growing office, service and repair center, inventory warehouse, and manufacturing facility. Having more manufacturing ability in-house will allow us to better serve our OEM/ODM customers and grow that part of our business. In the future, Teguar will be the dominant go-to provider for custom computer projects in the industrial and medical fields.
