Adar Rebranded And Reorganized Services To Offer Them To A Wider Client Base

Listen to this article

As its business keeps growing, Adar recognized the need to rebrand, reorganize and offer their services to a wider client base. Their flagship product Nerdio has been recognized as a seamless, reliable, secure and cost-effective IT solution which is amongst first that is bringing a cloud-based IT environment to small and midsize organizations.

Below is our interview with Jason Meyers, Content Strategist at Adar:

Q: Jason, could you explain the function and advantages of your flagship product Nerdio?

A: Nerdio is, at its core, a scalable Information Technology infrastructure service (streaming IT) completely hosted in the cloud. We handle the back-end setup of servers, storage, applications, and security; once it’s configured, users can log in to a remote desktop session from any internet-capable device.

Some of Nerdio’s advantages include a lower per-user cost than traditional in-house IT, centralized managed services, scalability from small businesses to enterprise-level corporations, full native encryption, and continuous data backup. Essentially, we configure a complete server, firewall, storage, and active directory environment in the cloud, which is accessible anytime and from anywhere.

We also offer cutting-edge security and maximum redundancy. We actually have two separate data centers in different geographic locations. In our upper tier plans, we mirror data between those so that even if there’s a disaster in one area, our clients can still access their data.

Q: Tell us something more about your recent rebranding?

A: We’ve grown from a small startup with a great idea into a global streaming IT solution. Our clients absolutely love our product, so the next logical step was to rebrand, reorganize, and offer our services to a wider client base.

We still use cutting-edge Dell blade servers and fast solid-state drives in our SAN. We’ve got passionate technicians monitoring the network and keeping up on the latest developments in cybersecurity. Mostly what’s changed is we’ve invested in enhancing the product, simplified our product and support plans to reflect our customers’ needs, and we’ve redesigned our website to show off some of the technology we use.

Q: You’ve recently released new Nerdio plans: Professional, Performance, and Enterprise; what is the difference?

A: We’ve really tried to put together packages that make sense for different business models. An SMB seldom has a need for Enterprise-grade Microsoft Office, for example. An enterprise-class business might require email encryption. Each plan was designed to offer specifications that most businesses in that class will use.

Also, enterprise-level corporations typically generate a lot more data than smaller businesses. Our plans reflect that in network bandwidth, vRam per server, and data replication. At the Professional tier, a backup is only done every 24 hours—which is usually plenty for smaller businesses who don’t want to pay for services that aren’t advantageous. At the Performance tier, data is backed up every six hours, and at the Enterprise tier, it’s backed up every hour. Those backup tiers ensure minimal loss of data in the event of an emergency.

Another difference in the plans is in the virtual desktop specifications. Professional plans have a virtual computer running in the cloud which has 2 processors and 4 gigabytes of ram, and can run two monitors. That increases to 6 gigabytes of ram in the Performance plan (with quad monitor support), and 4 processors with 8 gigs of ram (and quad monitors) for the Enterprise plan. Really, the plans are geared so that a business isn’t paying for services or bandwidth that they’re not likely to use.

Q: What can we expect from Adar in next six months?

A: Well, in the first place, we’ve got some great ideas about how managed services can improve performance, reduce costs, and increase security, and we’re looking to broadcast that message. Cybercrime alone is projected to cost over 2 trillion dollars by 2019. To mitigate that, businesses will need to start investing more heavily in security. We’ve built our whole infrastructure, from the ground up, around security and redundancy. So we’re hoping to bring some technology and best practices out to the IT industry at large.

Also, economists are projecting some turbulence in the next few years. We really want to offer a service that can compete with traditional hardware infrastructure, but which is more cost-effective. We also want to show the IT industry how centralizing services into a “one-stop shop” can make infrastructure easier and less obtrusive for business.

Q: How would you convince the reader to start using Nerdio?

A: I’d invite them to give our helpdesk a call. We really love the tech side of this, but we know that’s not for everyone. We focus on being completely transparent, and we’re happy to explain each piece of the process as we go. Some clients prefer that we just handle it all invisibly, and we’re happy with that too. We work hard behind the scenes to make sure the user experience is seamless and trouble-free. Our whole goal is to manage a company’s complete IT infrastructure at a more reasonable entry and maintenance cost.
