Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Cloud Dentistry?
A: Cloud Dentistry is the only web and app-based marketplace where dental practices can message and book dental staff for temporary or permanent work assignments on-demand. With over 8,000 dental offices and 20,000 dental staff in our marketplace, we have the largest peer-reviewed network of dental professionals in the nation. In just two years since our launch, we’ve already successfully transacted over 200,000 in-app messages and over 17,000 real-time bookings.
Q: How exactly does it work?
A: Cloud Dentistry is a two-sided marketplace that empowers the end users—the dental offices and the dental professionals—to work together, directly. The dental professionals on our platform have verified licenses, background checks, live schedules, peer reviews, and photos. After searching our database, dental offices can message and book the dental professionals—dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and front office staff—for work assignments, with just a few clicks. The dental professional then receives the booking requests on his or her phone, via our mobile apps for iOS and Android. Once confirmed, the dental professional completes the requested assignment and gets paid.
It’s fast and cost effective. Gone are the days of cumbersome temp agencies and ineffectual job boards.

Q: Can you give us insights into your pricing plans? What’s included?
A: It’s free to look! Dental offices can search and look at our database of dental professionals at no cost. They can also initiate messages and post jobs for free. So, there’s no reason a dental office should ever use a paid job board or temp agency without first checking us out. If for no other reason that to keep track of new talent in their area, every dental office should have a Cloud Dentistry account. In order to access the booking functionality, dental offices can purchase a paid upgrade. The entry point is only $50 per month, and this gives dental offices unlimited messages, unlimited job postings, unlimited temp hires and unlimited permanent hires per location for the covered categories for 30 days.
Q: How are you different from dental temp agencies?
A: Cloud Dentistry is less expensive, quicker and has higher quality staff than temp agencies. We’re less expensive, because we use technology to empower the end users to make matches in an automated fashion. This means we don’t mark up the rates charged by professionals and we don’t charge any permanent placement fees. By contrast, temp agencies use expensive human capital, charge 25% markups on rates and thousands of dollars for permanent placement fees. We’re quicker, because dental offices can book staff through Cloud Dentistry in a matter of minutes; whereas the process of calling a temp agency and waiting for a response often takes hours. And, finally, we have higher quality staff due to our peer review system, which holds professionals publicly accountable for their work. Over 95% of the professionals on Cloud Dentistry are ranked 4 out of 5 stars or better.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: Cloud Dentistry has enjoyed explosive growth since its initial launch a little over two years ago. Since then, we’ve launched our marketplace in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Atlanta. Within a year, Cloud Dentistry will have active marketplaces for temporary and permanent dental staff in every major metropolitan area in the nation.
