A: DTO has announced the start of sales of phone numbers for the metaverse. First of its kind, DTO offers up to 10 billion customizable numbers with recognizable prefixes such as DTO, ETH, BSC, or any unique prefix a user wants. Creating a number is quite straightforward, requiring only a crypto wallet and 0.1ETH (plus gas). The mechanism of number generation involves minting an NFT of ERC-721 standard. The security of numbers is guaranteed by open-source smart contacts.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: The idea behind DTO is based on the concept of regular phone numbers with prefixes but has a significantly different architecture built on the Ethereum blockchain. Similar to phone numbers, DTO operates in the system of (prefix)+(phone number) called number ranges. However, with DTO, a prefix owner fully controls a number range pricing.

Besides numbers, DTO offers to create prefixes consisting of any letters and digits with a maximum range of ten billion numbers. The decentralized telco aims to upswing the number of telecommunication companies, instituting a system where each telecom has a personalized marketing concept, price listing, and tailored approach to attract clients.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We are planning to spread as many phone numbers as we can worldwide in the near future.
Meanwhile, we are going to focus on increasing the number of use cases for our phone numbers to make them a universal tool of seamless web3 experience.
A web app, dashboards (personal account), active marketing oriented to attracting telecommunication companies, making the interaction between users of different metaverses easy, convenient, and safe.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: Your DTO number is more than just a number, it’s a part of your web3 identity, it’s your vcard, it’s your wallet alias to facilitate transactions. In addition, you can link your social information to it, making your number serve as a profile. Besides, there is no need to memorise and enter a long crypto wallet number to make transcations, which improves the user journey.
