Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to MTI Instruments?

A: MTI Instruments is a global leader in manufacturing non-contact precision measurement solutions for: aviation, semiconductor, electronics manufacturing and materials manufacturing marketplaces. Based in Albany, NY we have clients using our products in almost every corner of the globe. Advancements in technology have transformed industries, creating higher needs for near-immediate answers to complex problems requiring accurate measurements both in-product and in-process resulting in reduced down time, improved product quality and yield.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your products?

A: We have two major product lines: one for the aviation engine vibration analysis and balancing and the second is making non-contact precision measurement products.

On the instruments side, we have decades of experience in capacitance measurement technology and recently announced number of new products including: Accumeasure HD as having the highest resolution capacitance system in the world with Pico-meter resolution.

On the engine vibration side: we are launching our 4th generation, PBS-4100+ system. It is trusted by the United States military to perform vibration analysis and balancing of turbine engines for military aircraft. It is also considered the gold standard in the commercial aviation industry both on-wing and in the test cell with our rack mounted version.

Q: Who is your ideal client and why?

A: For our PBS systems ideal customers include MRO organizations that are providing engine maintenance both on wing and at the test-cell.

On the Instruments side our ideal client is an OEM client who would like to embed our high precision non-contact measurement in large-scale deployments.

Q: What can we expect from MTI Instruments in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We have number of exciting product in development targeted for release towards the end of 2021 or beginning of 2022. One of the products is our next generation release of our popular function simulator, 1520A. We are also working on wireless self-contained sensors targeted for the textile manufacturing industry.

Q: What is the best thing about MTI Instruments that people might not know about?

A: We are passionate about getting to know our customers. We want to understand at a deep level what their needs are, and how we can partner with them to exceed their expectations.
