Below is our recent interview with Jenna Wagner, Global Marketing Director at TEKLYNX International:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to TEKLYNX?

Q: You’ve recently been named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2018 SDCE 100 top supply chain projects for an ERP labeling integration project; could you tell us how companies benefit from integrating labeling with their ERP systems?
A: We’re proud to be recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive (SDCE) because it’s testament to our steadfast focus on the bigger picture – helping our customers gain efficiencies wherever possible. With respect to labeling, integrating with an ERP and/or other business systems is the best way to improve labeling efficiency and accuracy.
First and foremost, ERP labeling integrations improve production efficiency for our customers. By way of example, these integrations automate the individual steps involved with printing a label. When labeling is integrated with an ERP system, the ERP system can trigger a print job of specific labels, populate any variable data and then send the print job to the proper printer. This means that instead of the antiquated “File, Open, Print, and Pray” method of printing labels, all the user has to do is hit “Print.” This significantly improves labeling efficiency while eliminating manual data entry errors. And because labeling is a highly repeated production process, the savings quickly add up. Customers who implement enterprise label management solutions also gain the ability to print labels from anywhere in the world to a virtually unlimited number of printers. This means that the labeling environment is better equipped to support global multi-user, multi-facility footprints.

Q: TEKLYNX 2018 barcode labeling software solutions are built to improve labeling efficiency, accuracy and automation. How did you achieve that? Why is it necessary?
A: Customer feedback is a critical component of product development at TEKLYNX to ensure our solutions continue to evolve with the needs of the manufacturers who use them. We survey our end users and value-added resellers on a regular basis and incorporate feedback into product development. The most recent survey results led to the “why” of our latest product release. The 2018 software solutions are designed to directly support all aspects of labeling efficiency, accuracy and automation. The latest product release features updated software platforms featuring “smart interactions” to enhance every aspect of the end user experience.
We know that the vast majority of labeling environments are not fully optimized for efficiency. According to a recent survey, 70% of end users indicated they spend more than 30 seconds generating a single label, 45% didn’t have a standardized labeling environment and 60% had manual processes in their label printing process that could be eliminated with labeling print automation. This drives us to continue to partner with companies and educate them about the benefits of enterprise label management.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: The supply chain continues to tighten. There are more compliancy demands and an increasing number of companies are looking to manage operations on a global scale.
