Q: What are the key advantages of the AOMS all-in-one fiber optic sensor technology?
A: Our technology succeeds where other technologies fail, underperform or simply cannot be used efficiently. That’s why we consider it a game-changer. Reliability, easy integration, cons-effectiveness and flexibility are key differentiators of AOMS products. We have combined all the feature that industry needs for a sensing device into one product and invented AOMS-FOS(™). We intend to make it the most innovative, reliable, and advanced sensor technology to address the ever increasing demand in Industrial IoT.

Q: You’ve recently announced deployment of patented fiber optic sensing technology in environmental projects in Europe;could you tell us something more?
A: AOMS has been able to resolve a significant challenge in environmental remediation industry, which is monitoring of soil and groundwater during cleanup of contaminated lands and brownfields without any failure. AOMS-FOS technology enables remediation technology to collect an accurate and high-fidelity map of three-dimensional data in real-time from soil and groundwater through an advanced sensor technology that is an industry first. We have helped environmental remediation service providers reduce the capital and operational cost of remediation projects and enabled them to better comply with the stringent environmental regulatory requirements. We have had a significant contribution to the efficient removal of contaminants from soil and groundwater in urban and remote areas.
Q: What are some of the best applications for your technology?
A: Environmental sensing, mining (both underground and open-pit mining), geotechnical and hydro-geotechnical sensing, process industry asset monitoring (such as monitoring of refinery infrastructure), corrosion monitoring, electrical asset monitoring and failure diagnostics, and smart agricultural applications.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: We are capitalizing on AOMS-FOS to enable integration with global Industrial IoT platforms such as PREDIX by GE, Microsoft Azure, Siemens MindSphere, and Bosch IoT Suit. AOMS will be the first optical sensing technology with the full-stack of hardware and software for industrial IoT applications.
