Q: Can you tell us something more about the company and what you do?
A: Well I am the CTO and Chairman of ATN. We founded the company more than 25 years ago and am pretty excited to see what it has become today. Of course, I should first explain what we actually do.
Historically, ATN has focused on developing hand-held Professional Optical systems for night time operations. However, since 2012 we have transformed ourselves into a company focusing on developing Smart Optics for both Night and Daytime operations. In essence our goal is help our customers transition from traditional all glass optics to all digital solutions.
Just like cameras no longer use film to take pictures – shooters should no longer be bound by “just glass optics”. Today we are the largest Digital Sports Optics Manufacturer in the World – so pretty happy with that.

Q: You’ve recently introduced the game changing Binox 4K series day and nighttime Binoculars; could you tell us something more?
A: Well we tried to fit in as much tech as possible into one binocular. They are digital with 4K sensors. Work both Day and Night. Have full Smart Capabilities – like Video capture, WiFi Streaming, and 15+hrs of power. And of course they have a built in Laser Range Finder. They work as a terrific tool as a stand alone binoculars for practically any purpose. And if you decide to use Binox4 with one of our Obsidian 4 scopes, like X-Sight 4K you will get an extra bonus. Whenever you range in on your target you can send that info into your X-Sight. The X-Sight will correct your point of impact and you are ready to go. Certainly great if you go out with a spotter.
Q: Can you give us insights into your products? What makes them unique?
A: Our products are meant to move outdoors crowd into the 21st century. Sure you can go still go out Hunting with your Glass scopes or Binoculars but why not add the ability to do more? Take cool videos to share with your friends. Go Hunting day or night with just a switch of a button. Range in on your target and make sure you make that shot every time with a built-in Ballistics Computer.
We also try to keep things as simple as possible. Our new digital scopes look and feel like your traditional one. Standard mounting rings. Long eye-relief. Long lasting internal batteries – so you don’t worry about charging. All those things make a big difference to make the switch easy and cool.
Q: The ATN Obsidian Core is the technology behind your Smart HD Optics. How exactly does it work?
A: Just like with Smart Phones we upgrade our systems every few years with the latest chipsets and tech. Obsidian Core refers to the core computer with sensors that is the heart of everyone of our Smart Devices. The goal is to continuously improve performance by raising image quality, lower power consumption, and improve sensors capabilities.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: We see most devices in our lives becoming Smarter and easier to use and that is what our plans for transforming the Sports/Professional Optics Industry. We want to bring more utility and enjoyment to our customers.
