DealDash Delivers Entertaining Shopping Experience, And A Platform To Discover New Brands And Products

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to DealDash?

A: We just celebrated our 9th anniversary, but we still have the same mission as when we started. We want to provide our users with an entertaining shopping experience, and give them a platform to discover new brands and products.

Q: How did you come up with the idea for DealDash?

A: Our founder came up with the idea for DealDash after having a disappointing experience on a pay-to-participate online auction website. He spent $50 in bidding credits, but didn’t win the item he wanted after using all of his credits. He ended up losing the $50 with nothing to show for it.

After this bad experience, our founder realized that he could significantly improve the business model, in order to provide a superior experience on a pay-to-participate auction website. DealDash came into play with two main improvements to the user experience.

First, we introduced the ‘Buy it Now’ option. This feature eliminates the risk of leaving empty handed. If a bidder does not win the auction, they still have the option to buy the item at the listed price, which is disclosed beforehand. If the user chooses to buy the item, they get the bid credits they used in the auction back to their account. Basically, if a bidder wins an auction, they will get the item they wanted at a discounted price. However, if they don’t win the auction, they can still get the item they originally wanted at a non-discounted price, and have all their used credits back so they can use them to win a different auction.

Second, we decided to provide all of our users with a 90 day full money back guarantee on their first bid credit purchase. A customer can join DealDash, buy their first bid pack, give the auctions a try, and decide whether they like the business model or not. If they are not satisfied, they can request a full refund of their bid credit purchase, no questions asked.

Q: What makes you different from other online auction websites?

A: We believe that the ‘Buy it Now’ option and the full money back guarantee on the first bid credit purchase are what initially set us apart from other competitors in the online auction industry. However, these are not the only features that make DealDash unique.

What truly makes us stand out from other similar services is the way we obsess around our customers. A: Our team is composed by about 50 individuals from different backgrounds. However, we all share a common culture and a commitment to provide the best experience to our customers. Everyone in the company works hard towards this goal, and every position is filled keeping the customer in mind.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: Going forwards, we plan to keep doing what we’ve been doing, which is mainly listening to our customers’ ideas and feedback, in order to come up with ideas that will keep the DealDash experience fun and exciting. We have seen an increasing number of customers who use the DealDash mobile Apps instead of the website, so we definitely plan to keep adding improvements to the Apps so that the mobile experience is outstanding.

We also plan to expand the selection of our products up for auction on DealDash. We constantly look for new partnerships with suppliers and brands, in order to offer a wide variety of products for our customers to get great deals on.
