Demand Sage Aims To Bring All Of Your SaaS Reporting Data Streams Together Into One Platform – And That Platform Is A Spreadsheet

Listen to this article

Below is our recent interview with Daniel Ruby, Head of Marketing at Demand Sage:

Q: For those who have never heard of it, how would you describe Demand Sage?

A: Demand Sage aims to bring all of your SaaS reporting data streams together into one platform – and that platform is a spreadsheet. Marketers and sales leaders regularly find spreadsheets to be the only way they can get the flexibility, data manipulation and combination of various data sources they need, so we’re working to make that process automatic. Right now we support HubSpot data, which is synced to a Google Sheet on a daily basis.

We also try to make your analytics more powerful with a library of pre-built reports and dashboards, a code-free querying tool, and a variety of pre-calculated metrics that answer a deeper question than surface-level metrics typically allow for.

Q: Way is important? Tell us something more about your services?

A: Right now, we’re very aggressively working with early adopters to help define our product roadmap and build solutions to their real-world needs. Much of our report library consists of reports that were requested by an early adopter and polished into a shippable product for everyone.

Q: Who would be your ideal client and why?

A: We have several ideal customer profiles; anyone who is working RevOps in a small or mid-sized business who knows how to get the answers they want out of raw data, but is sick of having to export CSVs every time they want the base data itself updated. Sales leaders looking to provide actionable insights for their reps, marketing leaders looking to attribute their team’s activities and ensure that spend is optimized towards better-converting vehicles, and entrepreneurs who need an all-in-one KPI dashboard that they can calculate around without having to rebuild over and again.

Q: What are some of the real-world results enterprises can expect with your solution?

A: Less time spent building reports, more time spent using what the reports unearth to facilitate better-optimized actions. We’ve got some customer feedback on real-world results they’ve enjoyed:
“The Report Library has opened my eyes to data that I didn’t realize existed, let alone that I had access to. Even getting access to it wouldn’t have been nearly as useful as the insights gained from simply being able to visually see and manipulate the data so easily” – Kevin Heraly, Sales & Continuous Improvement Manager, Driverreach
“Our weekly customer health reports are one example of how Demand Sage took a very manual process that cost almost an entire FTE to create and maintain and automated it” – Lyle Stevens, Cofounder & CEO, Mavrck
“Reports that would have taken us days to pull together with the right data into usable views unique to our business take minutes with DemandSage.” – Cheryl Kardos, SVP Marketing, Numerated

Q: What is next on the roadmap for Demand Sage?

A: We’re pushing towards two paths in our roadmap: one the one side, we’re working to add new data sources beyond HubSpot (in fact we’re currently in closed beta for a Salesforce sync); on the other, we’re working to apply AI and ML techniques to surface insights without the client having to go through a huge process of calculating, making assumptions, testing assumptions, discarding assumptions, and making new assumptions. In the end, we want to be able to be a customer’s one and only reporting and analytics platform for all of their SaaS tools, and to take it beyond pulling data in to the stage of intelligently combining it and pulling out insights.
