Infotracer – A Comprehensive One Stop Shop For Public Records On The Internet

Listen to this article

Infotracer is a comprehensive one stop shop for public records on the internet. Below is our recent interview with Jenna Raymond, from Infotracer:

Q: For those who haven’t heard of it, what is the best way to describe InfoTracer?

A: Infotracer is a comprehensive one stop shop for public records on the internet. What we’ve done is compile information in one easy to use service where consumers can use many searches to perform research on various search subjects. Infotracer provides a variety of public records including background checks, criminal/arrest records, reverse phone lookups, and much more so that consumers no longer have to go to courthouses or other offices and pay several different fees to find the exact information they need.

Q: How exactly does your platform work?

A: Everything is done from the comfort of the consumer’s home or even on the go from their mobile phone or device. Once customers have access to our member’s area, they are presented with a wide variety of search tools right at their fingertips. We strive to make the platform very intuitive so that customers can quickly find the information they’re looking for. A lot of our competitors focus on one bulky search, but we offer a variety of searches so that our customers can perform their own comprehensive research. We really focus on offering a comprehensive and convenient way to access public records. For any customers who might experience some difficulties using our platform or finding the information they’re searching for, we have a team of search assistants standing by to help via live chat, email, or over the phone.

Q: What types of reports do you provide for each background check?

A: Background checks are our most popular product and our most comprehensive report. Background checks often include information like contact details (phone, email, address), date of birth, previous addresses, court records, criminal and arrest records, warrants, inmate records, assets, relatives and associates, vital records, professional licenses, and social media profiles.

Q: What are the premium data reports and why do they cost extra?

A: For customers looking to do a deeper dive in research, we offer a special service through deals we’ve made with data partners. This information tends to be a little more up to date for public records and can be more inclusive. Because of the extra cost associated with this data, we can only offer these reports to customers at an additional fee.

Premium data reports are a great add on benefit for our customers, but completely optional. There’s no obligation to buy as customers already have unrestricted access to all the searches in our member’s area.

Q: Are there any restrictions on where this data shouldn’t be used?

A: There are several restrictions. It should be noted that Infotracer does not offer any FCRA data. Our data is all collected from public records and that means that there can be mistakes in them. We don’t create the data ourselves as it’s created through various public records channels. This means you can’t use Infotracer’s data for instances such as employment purposes, tenant screening, or to make any decisions about credit or insurance.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: We’re always looking for new and exciting ways to improve the customer experience. We want to offer even more information in the future and are actively working towards that. We’re constantly focusing on gathering more and better data as well as branching out into new arenas such as identity monitoring. We truly believe that information is power, and we want to put that power into the hands of the consumer.
