Q: Can you tell us something more about your vision?
A: Our vision is to bring all testing related tasks to a single integrated cloud platform. As a step towards this vision, we are working on eliminating the need of developing and maintaining expensive infrastructure for testing. Now you won’t have to maintain in-house device labs or worry about maintaining expensive private cloud of virtual machines. LambdaTest platform handles this for you. This frees up developers and testers to focus on developing quality products instead of worrying about infrastructure.
Q: At the start of 2019, you released LambdaTest online Selenium Grid. How did that go?
A: Automation testing has been one of the most asked features of the platform since we started in November 2017. We worked on this feature for nearly an year, building up infrastructure, polishing performance, developing turnkey scalability solutions, and collecting browsers – lots and lots of browsers. The advantage we had was that during that time we already had a good user base who were actively using our manual testing features. We already had a head start in our current customers as potential automation users.
In addition to getting huge boost of automation users from our present customers, we were also able to attract past potential customers who left us because we didn’t had automation at that time.
The next boost was from product evangelism. We got good word of mouth recommendations and it is thanks to our present users that we are seeing exponential growth.
We currently have 10000+ active automation users who have conducted over 281 Million successful automation tests.
LambdaTest selenium grid integrates with various project management tools like Circle CI, Travis CI, Zalenium and GitLab CI etc. which has made the life of testers and developers easy.

Q: You’ve recently went live with an Appium Grid. What does it offer?
A: LambdaTest mobile web testing automation feature will complement our already existing on-cloud Selenium grid and help users perform automated Cross Browser Testing on mobile browsers as well. Users will now get access to all the latest and legacy mobile devices an can run their scripts on Android and iOS supported browsers like chrome and firefox.
So with the new offering, not only can users increase their test coverage by running automation test scripts across both mobile and desktop browsers, they can also check the responsiveness of their webpages to ensure that its customers get perfect experience across all screen sizes.

Q: What can we expect from LambdaTest in the future?
A: In order to fulfill our vision, of bringing all testing platforms on a single integrated cloud-based eco-system, we have a very exciting and challenging roadmap ahead. We are working on bringing more features around web automation testing that will complement the current automation testing workflow. In addition to bringing big features like headless browsers for faster functional testing, we are also working on more plugins for CI/CD platforms, one-click integrations with more project management tools, and integrations with complementary platforms like testing frameworks.
We keep enhancing our roadmap and will add new features that will help testers and developers to make their life easier when it comes to faster product launch.
