Q: You’ve recently launched an ICO to remake the reality for guitar players via Blockchain innovation; could you tell us something more?
A: Currently there is no other ICO in the music sector that comes even close to what we’re trying to do. Their focus is predominantly on music streaming or the “social component” which is important but it does not solve the main issue for players. We’re launching the ICO to raise capital for further platform development and marketing purposes.

Q: Can you give us insights into your features?
A: Registration and use of the platform will be always free. Creators of quality guitar content will have an opportunity to sell it to millions of users while keeping all the profit. There will be zero fees for content creators. Users will be able to vote for their favourite players enabling them to earn more. Unlike YouTube, BitChord will adhere to high standards of content quality and more importantly of determining “usefulness to others”. This also applies to user feedback, ratings and comments. All content submissions will NOT be automatically accepted.
Q: Why is now the time for a technology solution like BitChord?
A: Recently it’s been all over the news that one of the oldest and best-known guitar manufacturers – Gibson Brands Inc. may be facing bankruptcy. This sadly sums up the reality of playing guitar in the 21 century. While there may be a lot of factors at play – the sad truth is guitar players, even professional ones, don’t earn enough to buy 2-3 thousand dollar instruments anymore. The majority of intermediate and even advanced guitar players can’t rely on any regular income from their playing. It’s just a handful of top-professionals who earn some money, unfortunately they earn less than professionals in other much less competitive fields. The internet was supposed to level the playing field in the guitar universe, however it ended up raising the proficiency bar and lowered the paycheck. We believe we can do something to fix that.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: First and fore most we need to get the word out. There are literally millions of guitar players out there working low-paid, dead-end jobs just to pay the bills. This daily struggle robs them of their passion for creating amazing things musically. We are working on launching a system, that can make a difference in the everyday lives of millions of people who love playing guitar and more importantly have invested their time, efforts and money in it. Now it’s time for their investment to start paying off.
