Q: What’s the best thing about Prevent Life Safety Services that people might not know about?

Q: Can you give us more insights into your services?
A: Rather than offering just a menu of services, PREVENT takes a comprehensive approach to Fire Barrier Management. Many companies talk about fire dampers or fire doors or firestopping as individual items and offer only one of the services. Our approach is different. Imagine purchasing a car by buying the wheels from one place, the engine from another, and the body from another. Not only would it be costly, but you have to do a lot of work to make sure everything fits together. If the goal is compliance of your entire fire barrier, it makes more sense to treat it as one end product. Yes, it may have a few components, but so does the car. The goal to is to have a complete, comprehensive, and consistent compliance. PREVENT leads the industry in knowledge, service and capability in each of the components, and also in the comprehensive approach to fire barrier management. The reason is simple. We focus on the clients needs.
Q: Could you tell us something more about your Fire Barrier Management program?
A: The outcome of our fire barrier management program is consistent and ongoing compliance for our clients. Typically, most facilities are out of compliance more than they are in compliance. We change that with our fire barrier management program. The key elements include on time inspections and immediate repairs for fire dampers and fire doors, and quarterly firestopping supported by an aggressive “above ceiling permit” program. The “above ceiling permit” program documents everyone who enters the “above ceiling” space and allows for efficient and accurate firestopping compliance. Plus, we keep track of all of your service due dates for you, so you’ll be prepared for any visits from the Joint Commission or AHJ.

Q: You have created a customer portal so all reports are available 24/7; what are main benefits for your clients?
A: Clients need access to this information at a moment’s notice. The customer portal allows them to access reports on any device, at any time. It also allows us to receive information (plans that are typically large files) from them. There is password protection and security certificates so only our clients and us have access to their information.
Q: What are your plans for next six months?
A: We are broadening our footprint.
We are expanding our services to include an even more comprehensive package, including life safety drawings, life safety assessments with premier consultants.
