Q: You’ve recently raised $20m in Series C round; could you tell us something more?
A: The new financing will support the improvement and expansion of Wildcat’s unique-in-the-world high throughput research platform (HTP), hardware, modeling, and AI capability, as well as the launch of a new HTP sales and licensing effort targeted at select partners. Additionally, funding will augment the resources available for internal advanced battery research efforts. Coupled with a recent grant awarded from the US Department of Energy, Wildcat will have a well-funded, sustained research effort using the full power of HTP and AI to solve some of the industry’s most exciting technical challenges such as solid state electrolyte, protected lithium anode, and a cobalt-free cathode.
Q: What makes your batteries ‘the next generation batteries’?
A: Wildcat is developing new materials with greater safety, power, energy, life, at a lower cost.
Q: What are the benefits of your proprietary high throughput technology?
A: Wildcat’s High Throughput Platform (HTP) leverages R&D resources, allowing a 10x-50x improvement in research speed and efficiency. Further, HTP allows organizations to realize R&D gains similar to the world’s largest research organizations at fraction of the cost and time.

Q: What we can look forward to seeing from Wildcat next?
A: Our two areas of focus moving forward are major disruptive discoveries, and the limited sale of our HTP to a select group of licensees.
